Baby on the Brain

Spring time is, of course, baby time. And I have it bad. Baby fever- spring fever- the same thing to me. Usually I satisfy my baby cravings with goat kids, but this year I am needing a real, live, human baby.

I am getting excited as we progress in the foter/adopt license process. I start classes this month, and even though I'll have a long drive and have to be out super early two weekends in a row, it'll be worth it.

Everywhere I look I see babies. I'm always looking at baby furniture and baby clothes all of a sudden. I go to bed and wake up thinking about babies. The Bible mentions a few things that are never satisfied, and guess what? The womb is one of them. Waiting for my first foster baby is a little like being pregnant without all that throwing up business. *U*

The past several years I have watched as 'baby culture" came alive. They make the most darling baby things nowadays and I was so bummed to have missed that. I have decided I'd just be a really generoust gramma who loved to shop and give presents, but now I can start lavishing on my newborn foster babies and eventually on the one we adopt. Carter's is having their spring sale at all the stores around here, and I couldn't help myself. Above are a couple of the baby boy things I bought to get ready for my babies.
Cute, huh?! I cannot wait to snuggle a newborn. There's nothing better than a sweet smelling, freshly bathed baby to cuddle. oh my.

  1. hey Dalyn,
hugz & Blessings to you & your family for taking a different path to feathering your nest.
My daughter & her wonderful husband finished their classes to Foster/Adopt & now have a beautiful little baby, a sweet little girl. The birth mom is drug user & a prostitute,,,and only 17yrs old....Our hearts & prayers go to her...but we also pray that it is God's will that our daughter & Son-in-Love will get to adopt this sweet baby. The baby is bi-racial but it doesn't matter....she is just a blessing in all our lives.
So we pray that you to will have your lives Blessed with a sweet one.
    hugz
