I love Sundays

Oh to know nothing but Jesus...
to lay aside all the things that hinder me;both from without and within.

I love Sundays. I love the refreshment that comes from Church and friends and praying and eating together. It helps me get through the rest of the week, which can be so hard sometimes.

It seems like for the past couple years there has been nothing but stress and strife. Troubles, problems, and I'm exhausted in my body, mind, and soul.

I don't say I am unhappy though. I am sad at myself for continually grumbling to the Lord about certain circumstances, but I am grateful for the good that I have.

I stay, feet planted, hanging on to Jesus- sometimes by the skin of my teeth for dear life, waiting for Him to rescue me. And He always does. Somedays I feel like Job, so I remember the whole story and wait for the good He has promised me.

Yup, I love Sundays. Love my Church, and my home group...my rooster that crow all day instead of just morning (that's right guys! Do your own thing!) I love my floppy eared goats, my kids who are my dearest friends, my grumpy old dog that bites children, my fence-eating horses that act like babies but run so fast and furiously with their tails up in the air and necks stretched out when th sun is shining and they are feeling groovy *U*

I love alot of things- but especially my Jesus.

What do you love? Who do you love? I am really interested...curious about other's lives.

  1. I too love all that I have. Which doesn't always seem like much. Then I too think about what I am surrounded by, my husband, my children, my home. I have everything I could ever want. A very loving relationship with my husband. Which to me, is the cornerstone of everything else in my life. I love Jesus also, yet I feel that without my husband by my side, for better or worse, bad and good, that nothing would matter. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't even know Jesus the way I do. Without my husband, I wouldn't have all of those things surrounding me... my children, my home, my life... he is my gift from God!
