Homestudy~

Well first off, tomorrow we have our homestudy. This is part of the process to get our foster home license. I'm thinking we are not ready- we have been so busy it's not funny, but Doug made the appointment so I think I'll just go ahead and get it it done, even if we are going to get comments about alot of things on the check off sheet. Sheesh. I just haven't had the time, and since we only want newborns, how much trouble can one little baby get into around here with so many people watching?? Anyway, we'll see how it goes. I'll report later.

In other news...

My darling 6 year old rooster went missing. I am super sad. I think Mrs. Coyote came calling. She does have a growing den of pups to feed. I'm afraid we shall have to try harder for her to have a fatal accident next time she visits my henhouse.

Now I need another heritage breed rooster.

  1. Oh~ So sorry about your rooster. We have had coyotes around the farm all winter, and even just tonight again in the field. It scares me with the critters, too.
Good luck on your paperwork. They sure make you jump through alot of hoops, don't they??!! It's all worth it in the end.... Oh that's right, I have a report due, too. India requires 5 years of reports after placement to make sure we really are lovin' these kiddos.

  2. How wonderful!!! Fostering children was challenging, but very rewarding. I miss it some days:)

We read "No Greater Joy," and have gotten some valuable wisdom and teaching as well.

    Blessings,
    D.
