Its National Adoption Month

I can't believe this little boy is still looking for a family...he's adorable and those puppy dog eyes tell a tale of woes.

There are so many children...and so many big, empty-all-day houses. So many cars and boats and vacations. So many kids coming into the foster care system because of drugs and alcohol and selfishness, abuse, neglect...we don't like to dwell on it because it makes our hearts hurt. Hurting does't kill us. Maybe we should feel the hurt a little more often instead of medicating our feelings for others and worshipping our feelings for ourselves. Hey, I'm just as guilty. We have one life- then eternity. We better make it count for something valuable.

  3. That sweet Jared is consuming my thoughts. And now, I see him here. Thank you Dalyn ~ our hearts need to be stirred (and shaken!) to rise to the challenge. Blessings to you.
