She's Got Issues (Don't We All?!)

Do you know you have issues? Suspect? Or completely deny the possibility?
I think in this culture of therapy-dependant, counseling crazy, self-helf happenings, that we obviously realize we have issues. It's just a matter of identifying which are the worst, right? Then...dealing with them? Well, if we could fix ourselves, or pay someone else to fix us, we'd all be fixed by now, wouldn't we?
The premise of this study, and it's the truth, is that we can't fix ourselves. The transforming  power of Christ is what we really need! We all have issues, and some big ones. They hinder us from being all we were meant to be and all we were meant to have and give. So instead of trying to fix our issues, hide them, control them (which is in itself an issue) we need to...well, I'll let you read this for yourself! It's good!
The book has some great tools in each chapter, like thought-provoking questions, quizzes, and a prayer, journaling exercises and group discussion questions.

Check out Nicole Unice's website to learn more about the book, DVD's, and the author. You can watch the trailor, as well as several other videos for the chapters, and get all kinds of other information if you're one bit curious, and believe me, you should be. This study really opened up several cans of worms for me and helped me see some things that I needed dealt with. As we recognize those things and give them over to God, we get free- and that, my friends, is what it's all about- freedom in Christ!
Here's a little nibble of what's inside:

• Surrendering the Kung-Fu Control Grip
• Insidious Insecurity
• Quitting the Comparison Game
• The Big Leap from Fear to Freedom
• Breaking the Silence on Anger
• Uprooting the Bitter Weed of Unforgiveness

The book was fantastic and really got in my business- which was a good thing. The DVDs were really valuable in that, listening to the dialogue of other women dealing with similar issues and talking it over really reminded me that I'm not alone. The discussions cleared up some important thoughts. Nicole does a great job writing and speaking. She's real, warm, personable and funny. I recommend this for any woman needing it on her own, as well as a group getting together regularly to do it together. I don't have that luxury right now, which is why I doubly appreciated the DVD sessions.

To comply with new regulations introduced by the Federal Trade Commission, I'm letting you know, Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book.
