An Insider's Guide to Spiritual Warfare

I just finished reading this book and I want to say: practical. It's very practical. It's instructional and really appropriate for new believers, seekers, or older believers who haven't studied this topic out. Having said that, I'm a Bible study addict and  seasoned believer who still got some really good stuff out of reading it.
The chapters are manageable, which can be a selling point in this chaotic, fast- paced culture we live in, and even though the author is thorough she doesn't run on and on, making this a labor. At the end of each chapter is a "Your Turn to Reflect" section (small), and then "Scripture", and "Take Action" where Kristine gives you practical action to take.
Fighting warfare is something we all do, know it or not, and Kristine McGuire boils this down in simple terms. You may not realize that struggling with lies, lust, gossip, or your appetite can be a type of spiritual warfare, as well as the occult and it's various forms of practice. The author tells us the differences between fighting the flesh, demons, and strongholds in common sense ways that don't incite fear but help us feel powerful to access what the Lord has supplied us and told us to do in order to have victory over darkness. Teenagers would really benefit from reading this, as they are exposed to so much through social networking, music, movies, TV, and peers.
Housewives, pastors, electricians...it's a great handbook for fighting what we all have to fight, recognize it or not.

Publisher's note:
Having spent years as a medium, witch and ghost hunter before reclaiming her identity in Christ, Kristine McGuire has been on both sides of the battle lines. In her new book, An Insider’s Guide to Spiritual Warfare, she offers unique insight, revealing Satan’s 7 favorite battlefields (such as fear and gossip) as well as the most effective tactics he employs in the battles we face every day.
McGuire also shares 30 battle-tested strategies for victory based on her firsthand experience with the occult and the paranormal. Some of the topics she covers include:
how to walk in God’s authority
using spiritual armor
how to recognize and avoid the influence of the occult in our culture
whether the Bible supports the existence of ghosts

The author:
