The NKJV Note-Taker's Bible & Scripture Art

I got this wonderful NKJV Note-Taker's Bible from the publisher (Zondervan) for free in exchange for a free and unbiased written review. I own several journaling type and wide margin Bibles, so I have plenty for comparison. This version is the hardback which is obviously not gorgeous, but for Bible Journaling (follow the link for my Pinterest page) it's fabulous because you can do all sorts of lovely things with the cover and create something beautiful and personal.
Because I already have several I will be giving this one away. I'm a member of the Journaling Bible Community on facebook, where I get inspired with the artwork of others and where I have seen many ladies journaling on notebooks because they don't have the funds for an appropriate Bible, so I'd love to gift this. Leave me a comment with your favorite Bible verse and my 4 year old will choose a winner's name randomly on January 10th and announce it here. I'll have the winner send me an email with their address so I can mail it off ASAP.

Let's take a peek inside.
You can see the generous, unlined margins, which I feel are ideal for the art if not the notes.
The font is a little bigger than most of these type Bibles and the page is unencumbered by notes, etc. on the bottom of the page so there is room for artwork and your notes there as well.

Here are the stats:

  • Deluxe wide margins for note takers
  • Complete New King James Version text
  • Double-column text for easy reading
  • Words of Jesus in red
  • Presentation page
  • Ribbon marker

The back dustcover below. The front cover without the cover above.
As I wrote earlier, I think this is an ideal option of Bible for those who would like to design their own artistic cover.
My favorite things about this Bible are the cleaner pages and the larger font. I highly recommend this Bible as a great choice for artwork as well as just personal study and note taking.
I'd love it if the margins were a tad bit wider, but that's just me.

~My Bag of Goodies~

This is my all-time favorite journaling Bible but it's no longer published. I use this for study. It's also a NKJV- which I'm particular to for studying.
You can still buy one for a large sum of money from a 3rd party, but really...? Bible journaling is getting quite popular and with good reason- it's a beautiful way to meditate on the Word and to many, like me, it's a form of worship, so there are lots of choices in Bibles for this now.

I adore the clever back pocket in this Bible! I have keepsakes in here.

Just for fun I'll show you my fabulous Thirty One zippered organizing tote. I love that these can be personalized for only $7. There are tons of pockets.
I no longer sell them but my cousin still does. Here's her website.

I love this Pocket-a-Tote! I have several.

And just for fun here's what's inside of it: I have been slowly stocking up so I'll be ready to start this month. Up until now I haven't had the time with 2 two year olds and a 4 year old, homeschooling the 15 year old and then the horses, goats, etc. oh my!

My sweet husband ordered this small, pretty ESV Journaling Bible for me for Christmas, and it's the one I will do artwork in this year. The font is pretty small for these mature eyes, it's a lovely Bible though and the one I asked for because I plan on filling it and gifting it to my grand daughter on her 16th birthday. Each grandchild will receive one of my journaling Bibles, Lord willing.
This one has great lined margins but not every art addition works with lines.

Happy New Year!
