Hobby Farm Dreamin'

For those of you who dream of homesteading, or just having a hobby farm, like me, here's a few good links to keep ya dreamin' on these cold January days...

(for those of you who are only dreaming, and don't have it yet, think how nice it is that you don't have to trudge out to break water on cold, fridgid mornings for the chickens, or muck out frozen manure from goat stalls *U*)

Chickens

(the easiest to start with)

Turkeys

Goats

Pigs

Rabbits

Sheep

Well, that's enough for awhile, huh?
Don't forget, there's also:
barn cats
farm dogs
geese
ducks
(both the former I do not care for- they muck up the water buckets daily! Then the other animals suffer or drink poopy water. ugh)
llamas
alpacas
Dairy cows/cattle
and LOTS more *U*

  2. Great post! Thanks for all the resources. I am glad I started out with chickens. Can't wait to bring some baby goats home, that's what we've always wanted! I need to get myself ready for the work it will take though!
