Outside My Window...I see horses, some mine and some not, but everywhere there are horses.

I am thinking...that I love this part of the day- it's quiet, and I'm alone with Jesus and good coffee and my Bible.

I am thankful for...my simple country home and the children and animals.

From the kitchen...sourdough going, crockpot full of beef and peppers for dinner. Coffee brewing- my favorite morning ritual.

I am wearing...jammies still.

I am creating...lotion bars and soap labels for Patricia's order.

I am going...absolutely no place but the post office today.

I am reading...my Bible, the book of Acts, and Nancy Missler's The Kingdom, Power, and the Glory.

I am hoping...for an afternoon horseback ride in the apple orchards with my sweetie.

I am hearing...the wind machines in the apple orchards, and the birds singing so sweetly.

Around the house...sleepy children rousing to do barn chores, roosters crowing, and the dogs are waiting for breakfast.

One of my favorite things...quiet mornings in the country.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Potato feed at Church on Wednesday, Bible study, soccer practice, and maybe some visits with friends.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

  1. I am looking forward to reading more of your farm life and simple life posts. I love your picture of the horse in evening (or is it morning) light.

  2. oh, my... is that picture from your home? it is beautiful!

i've always loved horses, but sadly not if they are too close. i'll admit i am afraid of them... not sure why, maybe because my mother was afraid of them. i think i "caught" the fear from her. at any rate my enjoyment of horses must necessarily be from a distance. your picture is just right;)
