What Do Weird People Eat?

You know some of the best and yummiest snacks are right under your nose. I find that people don't eat real food anymore and are appalled at some of the things I eat. Hilarious!

Here's a yummy idea instead of a greasy bag of chips: when you are cooking acorn or ANY other kind of squash (assuming you still eat those), scoop out the seeds and sprinkle them with salt or some kind of seasoning and roast them. I have found that all varieties of squash seeds taste fantastic like this. Most people do it once a year with pumpkin seeds, so it's not so unusual. I do it for a long time on a low temperature, like 170 or 200, depending on my time allowance. Most times I put them in there an hour at the lowest temp, and turn the oven off and leave them in there overnight. Crispy and yummy.

This was our snack today- roasted acorn squash seeds. I don't bother to rinse them off either, because they taste better with bits of squash guts on them *U*

Here's one of my favorite breakfasts- raw oatmeal. I put half a cup of organic thick cut oats in a bowl the night before. Drizzle on a bit of raw honey, sprinkle with a tiny bit of salt and some cinnamon, add some dried fruit and douse with almond milk. Cover it, and breakfast is already ready when you are in the morning.
You might think cold oatmeal is gross, but it's not. The texture is great.

  1. I'm so I discovered cheese sticks inside a warm flour tortilla with green taco sauce. I really liked it.

  2. Yummers! some of my favorites foods :). LOVE raw oatmeal mixed with yogurt too.

  3. This may be a silly question....but where do I get raw oatmeal? Is it oatmeal not cooked?
I'm trying to eat healthier, I think I'll need your help Dalyn.
