Forgiveness vs. Rejection

We do character trait studies with our kids. Thought this might interest some of you-

This month’s character trait is Forgiveness vs. Rejection
“Clearing the record with those who have wronged me and not holding a grudge” There are two levels of forgiveness, level one is where you seek the forgiveness and you are given it, level two is where you seek the forgiveness and it is denied. On level two we must learn to forgive ourselves, which is much more difficult. When it comes to giving forgiveness, remember that practicing unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other guy or gal to die, it won’t happen and it will eat you up from the inside out. Resist the human trait of demanding swift and harsh punishment for those who have wronged you AND expecting grace and forgiveness when you have wronged another.

"A Government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have."

  1. True forgiveness is often hard. But something we all need to work on.
