My Barn

We have been on our little ranch almost six years now. Weird! Time flies. This is my husband's favorite picture of me. This was my first ever milk goat. A sassy Nubian named Clair. Boy, was she a brat! I shouldn't have ever traded her though. She had quads and triplets and was an excellent mother. She did delight in kicking over my milk pail though. I loved her anyway, but we sure did have some cat fights, me and that girl!

Look behind me at the state of that poor barn! It had been used for storage before we bought it. It sure looks different now. Well-loved and well-used. It's organized, and the stalls all have gates and are full of goats. There are chickens roaming around, kittens spying from the top of hay bales, and a goose on patrol.

When life gets crazy or ugly- to the barn I go. Soothing. The animals never fail to make me laugh, and things get simpler there. Better. Oh, thank You Lord for my barn.

  2. Your barn sounds like a real haven of rest.

    1) Thanks so much for your little sidebar review of "P.S. I Love You." That's 1 of my & my 2 daughters' favorite movies. 1 of my daughters & I were recently talking about getting the book. Wow, we probably won't now. :-/

    2) Did you tell me once that you know that band who sings your blog music. It's truly awesome!

  6. Great barn! I want one. I find the animals soothing too. I like spending time with them. I only have chickens and a cat at this point. I hope to have goats soon.
