Harvest Party

We don't "do" Halloween, but every year we take the kids to some kind of "Harvest Festival". Most of which are nothing but another way to dress up and get candy. We try to emphasize celebrating the harvest of all the great fall veggies and apples, but really, when it comes down to it, the kids just enjoy dressing up and scoring candy!
I don't let them dress up as witches, ghosts, gouls, etc. but they did have fun as a Knight, Old Lady, Cowgirl, and "Just my own handsome self" as the oldest boy chose.
They had a great time with friends and games, staying out late at Church, and generally being kids. I stayed home with all the lights out for a peaceful and quiet evening- which I was due for.

Today I did soap packaging and photos, we are cleaning and doing school, and then we need to get to town for a bit of shopping.
