Show and Tell Friday
Double D Ranch and some of it's critters...
What would life be without room to run and keep a bunch of crazy animals?
b-o-r-i-n-g!
This is the "Double D" of Double D Ranch...Doug and me! (Dalyn)
Our four horses on the ranch.
Kito, Fancy, Foxy, and Legacy.
A hen and her chicks free ranging in the pasture. Good meat and good eggs. Love my chickens!
Kito, the magnificant- half Arab and half Saddlebred. He's small and extremely handsome. He's as gentle as a puppy and very curious, intelligent, and nice to have around.
One of Kissin' Kate's daughters, Glory. Isn't she cute? Her sire is Handome Rob, a red roan buck. Her dam's sire was a blue roan. I'm kinda liking the two blue roan does I got this past spring. Unusual and beautiful girls. I named them Blu Pearl and Opal.

What a wonderful, wonderful day's outing at the ranch. I love all the animal photos -- I'm a farmer's granddaughter so this all brought back fond memories of my youth!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Show N Tell.
All I can say is, you must not have any "free time"--of course when you love animals and stuff I suppose that is a freedom in and of itself. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove your farm animals. I miss living on a farm so much:(

ReplyDeleteHi Dalyn,
ReplyDeleteI just found your link on Julie's sight. You have a wonderful blog. I knew from the title I'd like it.
We raise oberhalslies. We were out late last night, being assistant midwives at a kidding for a friend. She has a nubian who was mated to an angora/boer cross and baby was big. I kept telling myself if Herriot could do it, we could to.
Blessings to you in all of your plans for the new year.
Beth
